My mom and I hatched a crazy plan to go take the girls to Disney World. It was one of the craziest/funniest/most exhausting weeks of my life. I am so so glad we could go.
This was the first stop of the trip. The amount of food slime all over this baby does not show up in the picture. Lucy starting throwing up 3 minutes into the drive. That was a bad sign.
This was the second stop on the trip. Enough said.
This is Mary crashed in my bed the first night. That was a rough night. Thankfully, it was the only rough night.
Finally at the hotel after two days/12 hours of driving. Lucy was excited about the giant potato heads.
Mary...not so much. That was another sign...
Cute girls looking out the hotel window
It's a Small World! Our second ride. The first ride was the carousel. Mary had to be taken off because she started screaming as soon as she touched the horse. That was another terrible sign.
Rapunzel's tall tower. Lucy was very disappointed that we couldn't go inside.
The Little Mermaid (or "the little muwmaid" as Lucy says). She says this was one of her favorite rides.
Waiting in "line" for dumbo. They have this awesome inside play area that you play at while you wait for your turn in line. They just give you a buzzer that they buzz when it's your turn. Such a great idea.
Finally on Dumbo! Lucy loved it. She loved all the rides. She spent the three days saying, "I want to go on more rides!"
How cute is she?
We went inside just to get a peek and Minnie Mouse and Lucy decided she wanted her picture with Minnie. We were waiting in line and Grandma tried to bribe Lucy out of the line by saying, "Lucy do you want a cupcake?" Lucy said, "Yeah! I do! After I get a picture with her!". She outsmarted Grandma on that one.
The way the line worked, you got to Daisy Duck before you got to Minnie. Well, Lucy did not want to see Daisy. So when we got to Daisy, Lucy started crying, "Not her! I want to see Minnie!". Sorry Daisy. And then as soon as we got to Minnie she put her fingers in her mouth and scowled the whole time. It's okay Lucy, we all get shy around Minnie.
Enjoying treats as Grandma promised. Mary at this point was only happy if she was eating something or running into the crowds. Or falling out of the stroller. But that's a story for another day.
Lucy's cupcake.
Lucy left her cupcake unattended and you can't do that with a certain little sister hanging around.
The teacups!
Meeting Rapunzel and Cinderella. Lucy had a meltdown in line. When she saw other people in line in front of her she started crying, "Why do they get to see Rapunzel?! She's not their favorite! She's my favorite!"
Lucy was of course shy when it came time to meet Rapunzel. I thought it was so cute, Rapunzel asked her, "Is it your first time out of your tower? I was scared my first time out of my tower too."
Of course Mary's picture is blurry. That kid was always on the move.
Lucy is so cute.
This picture sums up to whole day. Lucy sleeping after a day of fun. And Mary screaming after a day of screaming.
Day 2. We went to Epcot. We happened to find Winnie the Pooh and Tigger in Christopher Robbin's adorable little bedroom.
The Nemo Ride and Aquarium was a life saver. It was finally someplace Mary could run around and the girls both loved it.
The last day we hung out at the hotel until after Mary's afternoon nap. They had a twister map in the concrete at the hotel. Lucy figured it out pretty quickly. Mary...not so much.
Grandma had Lucy and I had Mary in the hotel room when I get a phone call from Lucy. She says, "Hi mom, we're at the pool. Just relaxing". Sure enough, that's what she was doing.
Finally at the park and FINALLY happy. Mom and Grandma finally figured out to give the munchkins popcorn. As much as they wanted.
So cute. I love mouse ears.
The last night at the park was so much fun. Both the girls slept and were happy. And I got to go on a bunch of rides with Lucy when there no lines. It made all the other craziness worth it.
We lucked out as were getting ready to leave and found out they were doing the light parade again. We got a spot right at the front and the girls loved it. This is Mary pointing at the lights.
Last night in the hotel. They were so tired we had to wake them up.
Lucy and I shared a bed all but one night. She was pretty good. She tried to talk all night, so I had to just roll over and tell her I was going to sleep. It worked.
Here's Mary after the 3D movie. She was not about to give those glasses back.
